What’s New at Saint Gabriel Catholic School

On May 4th, the 2nd grade class celebrates their sacrament of First Holy Communion.
On April 22nd, the kindergarten class celebrates Earth Day with their homemade recycled vests.
The third, fifth, and seventh grade students watch the Conclave and announcement of Pope Francis.
On Saturday, December 1st, our second grade students received the sacrament of Reconcilia
OOn Saturday, October 20th, the class of 1962 celebrated their 50 year class reunion at Saint Gabriel. It was an opportunity to catch up with old classmates and see what is currently happening at Saint Gabriel.
On October 14th, the Saint Gabriel JV and Varsity teams won against St. Patricia in their homecoming game. The teams will now advance to the playoffs. The players, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, show their support by wearing pink socks.
On Thursday, October 11th, the 7th and 8th graders had the opportunity to listen to local high school recruiters, as well as former Saint Gabriel students, as they prepare to enter high school.
At the all-school mass on October 9th, the 8th grade class swore in their class officers for the 2012-2013 school year. The students were addressed by their Class President, Matthew Carroll, and took an oath as a whole acknowledging their goals for their last year at Saint Gabriel.
Saint Gabriel Spirit Week was October 9-12 and our first graders showed off their Saint Gabriel Shamrock spirit!
On September 28th, the Cross Country team participated in Loyola University’s Lakefront Grammar School Run. Way to go Shamrocks!
Saturday, September 8th, the Saint Gabriel Youth Group helped feed the hungry at St. James Food Pantry.
Saint Gabriel students were ready for their first day of school on August 22nd.
