School Programs

“Little Shamrocks” Free Playgroup

For the 2011-2012 school year, the free “Little Shamrocks” playgroup will continue to meet on Tuesdays from 10am-11am for children ages 1-3.  To learn more about the program, contact the principal, Ted Morgan, at 773.268.6636.

The group will focus on a different theme each week. The children in the playgroup will learn valuable skills including: socializing with other children, story time, singing, engaging in art projects and large motor activities. The program ties in religious themes and activities as well as provide parents and caregivers the opportunity to network and enjoy each others company.

After School Care Program

Saint Gabriel School offers a wonderful After School Program! The programs serves working families who desire both professional care in a Christian environment. The After school program offers supervised play time, indoor and outdoor physical activities and homework help. The program is offered throughout the school year and is available on an “as-needed” basis for families who have enrolled during the 2011-2012 school year. For a small fee, a nutritious snack and milk will be available for after school care students. 

Program Hours

The After School Care Program is open on regular school days from 2:45pm to 6:00pm. Note that on half-days, after school care with not be provided. Also, no free days or holidays are included in our program.

FSP (Food Service Professionals)

Saint Gabriel Catholic School has a working relationship with FSP. FSP serves Chicagolands’ Catholic elementary and high schools, providing students with nutritional food options for breakfast and lunch. FSP also works with Saint Gabriel to provide assistance to families receiving breakfast and lunches. For more information on FSP please visit the website: www.fspro.com/
