Youth Group Night At New Fieldhouse on Feb. 12th!

Our next gathering will be a Youth Group Night on Friday, Feb.. 12th, from 6-8 p.m. at the new Fieldhouse at Taylor Lauridson Park. The Park District has given us permission to use the Fieldhouse on the second Friday night of every month. That's awesome! We are the only Youth Group that has been given that privilege! During the first hour or so, we will have some time for open gym, as well as coed volleyball/basketball. Our goal is to have 50 youth present that night. Youth group members are welcome to bring their friends, but please let Fr. Rich know ahead of time who you will be bringing that night. Our plans are to have pizza, at the end of the meeting. During the meeting, we will discuss plans for our upcoming fundraiser. Our hope is to sell Krispy Kreme donuts. Katie Drobitsch will be there to tell us about the details. We are hoping to have pizza every time we gather at the Fieldhouse, so it would be good to have some funds for that purpose. If you want to help plan our Youth Night, please contact Fr. Rich.

Also, we have been asked by the 6th grade teacher at St. Gabriel's School to help organize a Blood Drive for next month. I told her that the mission of our Youth Group is to "Make A Difference" in the lives of other people (especially those in need), so I gladly accepted her offer. The date of the Blood Drive will be Saturday, March 6th in our school hall. If you would like to help organize this event, just contact Fr. Rich. There will be more information at our Youth Night. The Blood Drive would be an excellent way to do some service hours for our community.

We have plans for a great year in 2010. Spread the word about the good things that are happening with our Youth Group. Let's continue to "Make A Difference"! Let's have a great turnout of Youth at the Fieldhouse on Feb. 12th!
