Our Youth Group has had another successful year, and I am very grateful for your active participation. People from the parish and neighborhood are constantly telling me how proud they are of all the good work the Youth Group has done! Holy Week begins this coming weekend with Palm Sunday Masses. I look forward to seeing you at Church. One of the nice traditions our Youth Group has participated in every year during Holy Week has been to volunteer to kneel before the Blessed Sacrament in Church after the 7:00 p.m. Mass on Holy Thursday. We will again be doing that next week on Holy Thursday, April 13th. Our teens kneel for a half-hour segment from around 8-10 p.m. If you (and your parents) would like to commit to helping out with this, please let me know in the next few days. I can guarantee it is a spiritually powerful experience to pray before the Blessed Sacrament! Also, there is a beautiful tradition on that night that Catholics from the Chicago area visit other Catholic Churches. Our Church is beautifully decorated for that night, and people enjoy visiting us!
I have written a number of recommendations for many of you in recent months. If you ever need one, just let me know. Schools and organizations value highly your active participation in a Youth Group like ours.
God bless all of you for the great year we are having!
